Er zijn mensen die volmaakte hourglass blocks maken, maar daar hoor ik niet bij. Het kan wel, maar ik denk dat it niet accuraat genoeg ben met snijden. Maar er zijn andere trucs: ik naai een iets smallere naad en snij ze op de goede maat bij. Meer werk, maar ik heb dan tenminste de goede maat.
Maar ik blijf het proberen!

Update step 1
240 hourglass blocks (2½”) done! Cutting all those triangles was a lot more work than sewing them. Or so it seems.
No matter what I do and how I do it, I never get those blocks right. Some people end up with perfect hourglass blocks, but I have always to cut them to size. I guess my cutting is not as accurate as it should be. But I still keep trying!
But they’re done and I am ready for the next step!

Your finished blocks look great! I used a method that allowed me to trim to size as I find tiny triangles difficult to work with :)

Your blocks are wonderful. I trimmed mine down to size as well. I think you get a more accurate block that way. Aren't we having fun!!
Ik heb ze ook op maat gesneden nadat ik ze in elkaar had gezet. Als je het precies probeert te doen, dan zijn ze vaak net iets te klein. Ziet er goed uit zo.
Your blocks look great. I have some wonky ones, but hopefully all will come out well.
Zo doe ik het ook altijd, ik maak dit soort blokken gewoon te groot en snij ze dan op maat.
